A friend of mine whose found many arrowheads below a bluff overhang shared some pictures today.
This looks like a lot like a human hip bone to me. What do you guys think?

I don't know but I know it's happened before quite a bit. Sometimes Native American sometimes not. The guy that went missing over here several years ago was found by an arrow head digger 2-3 years later under a bluff. Interesting!

What Tennrock said on reporting it.

I knew an avid metal detector guy that was mainly into civil war stuff. On one occasion he got a good signal and began digging. He recovered several buttons, a buckle and bones! The bones appeared to be human and law enforcement was quite interested and got involved. After a thorough investigation it was determined that the bones were likely the remains of a civil war soldier who had been buried in a shallow grave. The remains were later given a proper burial.

Carlos. Did you ever find out any additional information on the bones. Just saw this and was curious.

I didn't. He shared the pics on Facebook, and I took screen shots of those. After about 30 minutes, the pics were taken down, I assume to try and prevent bringing attention to the area. It's actually on his neighbor's property, whose a close friend of his.
One of these days I'm going to go ask if they'd mind me digging there. There's quite a few people sneaking in without permission, raiding the artifacts.
Seems like they can't control who's accessing the area, so getting permission may not be a problem?
