Whats the trick to catching bobcat in cage type traps? I was told i needed a bigger trap for one thing. Someone told me the cage had to be big enough for the cat to turn around in it.

I would say you're wasting your time attempting that. I'd find a knowledgable trapper in your area and get them to trap it/them. I'm sure it is possible to cage trap a bobcat but I'd say the success percentage is incredibly low.

So do i need to get leg hold traps? I also want to get the coyotes gone. How do the rubber jaw ones do?

People cage trap bobcats all he time.. if you have many in your area they are not all they are not all that hard to catch.. personally I have never caught one.. but I have never really tried.. 90% of my trapping was water trapping.. you build a cubby around the cage and bait it.. If you really want to catch one, I would suggest becoming a member at trapperman.com there is more wealth of knowledge on that site about trapping than anywhere else.. also.. a good video on the subject will greatly improve your odds.. and will pay for its self.. Coyotes.. you will not cage trap one of them jokers.. a snare is probably the #1 tool to get them.. 2nd.. would be a #3 rubber jawed coilspring trap..

Thanks for the info. Im going to try some diff. stuff out. i will look into that website

Yeah please let us know how it pans out. I have 3 cats myself on film I'm going to go after but I will be using a dirt set or flat set with a #1-3/4 sleepy creek Trap.
I agree trapperman.com will lend a wealth of knowledge.
