Bobcat attack

This is my college roommate's father in law. He's a heck of a hunter and storyteller. He's got lots of stories, but this one may top them all. Thought you guys might like it.

Amazing deal. I've had 2 close calls, in similar circumstances- but neither one made contact.

I killed one and the other one got away.

Definitely not to that extreme but I had a bobcat incident at Cheatham about 10 years ago while turkey hunting.

I'll stick to fall archery season from the treestand for my turkey hunting. It's much safer.

I agree, it should have been shot dead.

He had a better outlook than I would have about the cat. Don't think I could have let it trot down the trail, would have probably wanted to test it for rabies.

I've been real real close to hand to hand combat with bobcats two times. One came up behind me and was inches from my face looking at each other eye to eye.

One of my tree stands. I never even got a chance to sit in it. I believe you may be right.

I had one pounce on me about 10 years ago. Pretty wild experience. Came in behind me I turned to see it just as it leaped from its crouched position.
Fortunately I wasn't hurt and only had a torn shirt sleeve from shielding my face.
