Anyone know anything about a 2004 nitro nx898? How they ride, handle and fish? Found a good deal on one, but would like to know how they are. Buddy at work said stay away from a nitro that they were junk. But in KVD and half the Bassmasters use em, they cant be too bad

They are a very well made boat. I would worry more about the engine that is powering it.

Yeah, the motor would be my biggest worry if the boat is in good shape. What does it have?

I got a 04 nx750 with 115 I've had for 3 years. No problems and mine rides good.

Nothing at all wrong with a Nitro. I have an 09 Z6 for sale
and the only reason I am selling it is I found a too good to pass up deal on a TR21 Triton. Nitro makes a fine boat.

I'm sure they are very good boats, but don't get it twisted. That is not WHY the pros use them. Just like the hunting pros that shoot only Mathews or Hoyts.....they are paid to use those products and they will use whichever one gives them the most money.

I agree Money talks but I guarantee you KVD can pretty much name his price with ANY boatmaker and he still fishes a Nitro like he has for many many years.
That said, Nitro makes a fine boat and I actually had 2 of the NX series boats in the early 90's that were team boats. I used them all over the Southeast and had great performance out of them. I now own a 2012 Z8 and have also had great performance from it. Nitro doesn't use the highest quality material on everything in their boats, like the seat coverings for instance, but the Hull itself is a quality product and most everything else (motor, electronics, trolling motor, acc) are all the same regardless of hull brand. Like others said check the motor out good as its the biggest factor in any used boat purchase.
