Just curious as to why folks would blur there own face in kill pics? I cant come up with a logical explanation other than bad reasons. Anyone know?

I can only think of illegal-ness? Why I wouldn't want my face shown holding a buck. IDK. I know there is a logical reason, just waiting for someone to post it.

Some people simply do not want their faces on the internet....its that simple. Others may not have permission from the person who killed the deer.

A lot of people that kill big deer are secretive about it. Maybe not wanting people to know what they've killed or where they killed it. In this day and time people will lease a place out from under you if they can around here in west tn. Just because you killed a good deer or several they feel like they can lease it and do the same!

OK, now both of those make sense. I know the Amish do not want their picture taken, and I guess there really are some folks that secretive.

And maybe we don't like being followed to Public Land spots either!

x2. i prefer to remain annonymous. all you will see in my kill pics is a gun

Well Bassybuck, you gotta point there. The look on the faces of the people that pulled up near us as my sexiness arose from the water was quite priceless. LOL. Redblood, I can see your point, I consider myself a trophy hunter, but I guess I just aint really successful enough to go the extra mile. I am starting to see the other (non- negative) reasons now.

Could be they don't want to be found...

Had a guide like that one time, didn't want his picture
took until he knew were we lived

But really if you post on here, you will give out enough info
over time you can be found, if you really didn't want anyone to
know your killing big deer, you wouldn't at all

Very true...but at least this way they have to work for it!

PARANOIA!!!!!!!!!!!! I feel sorry for that type of person! It's the same ones who don't like people knowing where their property is as if tons of people don't already know.

I had to laugh when I read this statement. I have posted several kill pics on here over the years and I always crop the photo to where my face can't be seen. I never post my face on the internet. I just prefer not to and it isn't because of any "bad reasons".LOL...... I like to share my kill pics and the story of the hunt, I just don't see where my identity is important.

Its nice to read a story & imagine what the guy looked like going after the critters that get plenty of pictures & descriptions, kids to, nothing like seeing the happy faces of the lucky hunters,id just as soon see the animal by its self as a smeared out face.

Ditto!

It isn't about me...it is about the deer!

Yep. Just as easy to just post a pic of the animal itself I'd think.

People think they maintain some sort of anonymity on here, but people leave enough bread crumbs in posts that it wouldn't be hard to figure out who someone really is.

All anyone has to do is ask me. I will tell them who I am in a PM.

I have many times.

Ok,, so its safe to say there are OTHER reasons besides negative ones. I really had no idea people would go to that length to either TRY to remain anonymous, or to protect there spot.
