Blood Red Leaves make tracking fun (pic)

These maple? leaves were driving me nuts earlier this week.
Trying to track a deer and kept running into these leaves. The red color looked even more like blood with dew on them.
In one area it looked like there had been a deer massacre.

The coyotes paint those up and put them where you hunt hoping to throw you off. How else are they supposed to eat?

Yep, that will drive you crazy. More than once have I had to pick up a leaf and rub it to see it it was blood or just the leaf color.

I just had the SAME problem on Oct 28, shot a doe and it was raining out, i felt like i was trying to get the genie out of the leaves! walk 1ft... rub...rub...rub. Thank goodness i only had to go about 30 yds. Ive lost 2 deer in my yrs of hunting and its devastating.

There also is a grass that has red blotches on the blade. Throws me off.
