My brother and his wife & daughter are there. My neice plays on a travel team and played a tourney there.
They are picking OK, apparently they are a juggernaut of a team. If OK wins this, they will have won 50 straight. I told them TN might end that streak. I hope it's a good game.

Oklahoma is doing Oklahoma things. They're definitely THE top tier softball team. Incredible watching them play.
Started wrong pitcher
Started mowing the yard when they hit the 3 run homer. Knew it was over.
Be tough to bounce back from this.

Sounds like Karen is trying to use strategy and didn't play to win. Hope they bounce back.

I missed the game but saw the score. I thought Tennessee had a good chance to beat them. I didn't expect it to be that bad.

Only saw the box score when it was 9-0 and looked like the Lady Vols had used 5 pitchers at that point. Saw comments saying they didn't start their top 2 pitchers which seems odd.
I think Karen played if we get the lead she would bring in rogers, if not stick with every other pitcher except the aces. OKst wont be a push over either.
The only plausible reason that I have seen theorized is that Karen knows if we get there, we'll still have to beat them twice, no matter win or lose yesterday.
1. Ashley may not be 100% so rest her
2. The more times a team faces a pitcher the more likely they are to get comfortable.
Hopefully, it works, but I have my doubts. Getting drubbed sure kills confidence.
I heard a saying early on in my coaching girls sports that has stuck with me:

Oklahoma took game 1 5-0. I flipped over a few times but didn't watch much.
I'm not an Oklahoma fan but I gotta tip my hat to those ladies and that team. They have it going on. Watching them play is like a work of art. Congrats on 3 titles in a row and a 53 game win streak. That's incredible, I don't care what team you pull for.
Oklahoma will sweep.. I've seen maybe 6 games they've played and I think they have voodoo dolls of opponents. Teams with great fundamentals start making mistakes when playing them.
