took it out this evening for a little at 600 yards and taking it off,,,sent my old Krieger back to Memphis and having it set back and chambered in 243 throated real long for 105-115 gr bullets,,should really push the 105s at warp speed,,

last 4 today was pretty tight,,the BRDX cases are 1.540 long

How do you interchange barrels? Are they threaded like regular barrels? What tools are required to swap?

the recoil lug is pinned to the Stiller action,,when my smith chambered the first 6.5x47 barrel he wrote down the headspace #s and he can chamber new barrels and all I have to do is put it in a vice and spin the action off with Rem 700 action wrench apply a little anti seize on threads and spin new barrel on and the headspace will be right,,as long as he gets it right I cant mess it up as long as I use same bolt and recoil lug,,the barrel has a shoulder and just snug it up,,it is not like a Savage where you can adjust headspace,,it is either right or wont work
but the last 2 BRDX barrels I didnt even have to adjust my fl size die after switching barrels,,

just screw in till bottoms out

Clever way to head space cause I'm sure your gunsmith is spot on. I have talked to him several times about reloading, shooting.

I bet that thing gets heavy carrying it around in the woods
I'm kidding
I hope to achieve that some day with a hunting/tactical rifle
