Rain kicked in around 345 and I decided to head to the house instead of sitting in the rain. Halfway to the truck a doe crossed the logging road in front of me and this big boy was right behind her. He stopped long enough for me to take a 35 yd double lung shot.

I love love love hunting in the rain seriously one of my favorite times to be out there. I know im crazy but ive seen so many big deer in the rain its crszy. congrats that's a heck of a deer!

It is a Tn buck, Sumner Co. Rough score last night was 145. This is a buck we had several pics of in late August. After the shot I sat down in the middle of the logging road in the rain and called ChadG who was there in 15 min with a Dr Pepper and a Snickers and crawled through the nastiest thicket ever with me to find him. My first bow kill off the ground.
