I've been down in my back since the day before deer season began,9-27-13 and had back surgery last week,10-30-13. This is the first deer season I've missed in 35 years and the first season not hunting with my daughter in 8 years.
But...enough of the sob story.
Everyone knows that has owned/ shot muzzle loaders that pyrodex is not user friendly, cleaning or reloading. So yesterday I picked up a jug of BigHorn 209.
Since I won't be there to reload for her as I always have, from what I've read it will be a lot easier for her to reload because of the reduced fouling.
So at what grain would you recommend starting?
She shoots a CVA optima pro with Hornady sst 250 grain.
She only has from 4
m till dark this evening to get it sighted in, so thanks in advance for your help.
