For the first time in my LONG hunting history, I tagged out on Tennessee turkeys. The illustration below is a 100% AI creation, but it almost perfectly recreates the odd scene that ended my 2026 Turkey Season. Here is my story of why sometimes, it is better to be lucky than good! https://bit.ly/DumbLuckTurkey

Congrats on killing a bird, but you should be publicly flogged for shooting at a nonwounded flying gobbler😉
So noted... however, I am always mystified by the fact that it is considered unethical to shoot ducks, geese, pheasant, quail or any other game bird while it is on the ground (or water). Yet some consider it unethical to shoot a turkey flying? WTH!! 🤷‍♂️ ;)

Because its a pop shot that the bird ends up with pellets in the guts and dies somewhere else days later 98% of the time. But hey you got to shoot at one so its all good, googans and fudds of all ages do exist 😉

All those other birds can be incapacitated by most any pellet strike, are usually hunted dogs that can run down wounded game, and none have the running gear of a turkey. That's TH.
