Better first preseason game?

Mariota or winston? What's yalls thoughts?

I give the nod to Mariota. While neither looked great, Mariota made less boneheaded mistakes and bad throws.

About even. Winston played more series so he had the opportunity for more mistakes

If you erase the extra minutes jameis played, the stats would even more benefit mariota. Most of the "good" for jameis came late in his playing time. His last drive he was five for five with a td run. Take away his extra minutes and he was awful.

Well Winston called most of his own plays in the 2nd half and checked out of blitzs most of the time in the first half. The Bucs let him play since it was preseason. But ,hey, good for Mariotta and his vanilla offense. How many of y'all played against that same style offense in high school? Just raise your hand,unless mudbone want to count.There will be more games. I believe both are rookies,and at least one will progress. :tu: I think Mariotta had a better per pass average, but most came after the catch.

Winston, only completed 2 more passes on 9 more pass attempts :tu:

Both players threw a pick.


If they would have took Winston out after 8 pass attempts his #'s would have been ugly.


But he stayed in played the entire half,and had a good drive against 2ed and 3ed string DBs at the end of the half good for him :tu:

That fat, slow, immature, foul-mouthed, theiving, rapist that badnole idolizes will be a thorn in the side of the bucs franchise as long as he is there. He will continue to crap himself the way he did the other night until he is cut. I would say he would end up working at espin but nobody would be able to understand the project language he speaks in. He'll probably end up being an inmate coach of the Compton ca. prison team. But hey, he called his own plays (maybe that was the problem) and checked out of a blitz the other night. Hooray
Best thing he could do is stay out of jail.

Why not tell everybody how you really feel. So mudbone will your favorite college field a team or have they given up since their fowl mouthed ,theiving rapist players have left. You know,the ones that have been caught. Find out where they are so Winston can wave to them while passing by. Maybe he will learn to surf like Mariotta to keep in shape. Well Cam Newton went 8-19 for 134 yds in his debut,playing a half. RG 3 closer to Mariotta in his,and so was Manziel
Well that works for you and I'm happy for you Donkey. Even according to you the Bucs had new people in,offensive line.I do believe after Falcons scored they put backups in also. i really wouldn't read much into the first preseason except for a couple things: mariota seems to be fine in the pocket and only struggled with one handoff when taking the ball from center. he threw sharp throws and throw the ball into tight windows.

Jameis fought hard, which despite my disdain for him i must admit that he competes. He looked sluggish moving in the pocket. But his biggest issue is his windup. He has a very slow enlonated delivery that gives the defenses time to react to the ball. i think that, not accuracy issues, account for his high number of interceptions. he reminds me of the second coming of byron leftwich, with probably less arm strength
