best way to cook corned beef

i have cooked just about every kind of meat there is except corned beef..can someone lead me in the right direction..going to cook this for the wife seems how her birthday is on st. patty day

following the directions on the package is the best way for me,the only thing i like to do is put the spice seeds into some cheese cloth,let it rest well after it has cooked the proper amount of time before slicing.mike243

me too on the directions...The few times I have cooked it, I just went by the directions on the package...and it turned out wonderful.

I have had really good luck placing it fat side down in the crock pot with onions, taters and carrots.

Seems to keep it moist

Go to 45th and Lexington and go in that ratty little deli. Buy one corned beef and one pastrami on rye with a big glass of seltzer water. Get a chocolate eclair for desert. Eat it out side where you can watch the pigeons crap on the cabs and the hear the cabbies cuss each other.
