Sorry if its a repost, I haven't ML'd in a few years.....I have a decent 6 or 7 year old Knight 50 cal that is hardly used. So I'm wondering what some of you guys have had the best results of...powder/bullet etc....thanks

When I got my 50cal. Knight, first thing I tried was Power Belt 245gr. AeroTips....from a clean barrel, or even after 2 shots, you never knew where it was gonna go!....after 3 or 4 shots they would group pretty good.

I contacted PB, and they told me that Knight produced barrels that were slightly "over bored", and that the "lighter" PBs did not perform well thru them, because the "belt" would not properly seal in the larger bore.... They suggested going to the heavier bullets (295gr. or 348gr.) which would provide more resistance, and make the belt seal better.

Instead, I chose to try the T/C 250gr. bonded Shockwaves (blue tip)....w/ 100grs. of 777, and have had real good results. These are harder loading than the PBs, but at least I know where my first shot is going!

Don't over look the Hornady FPB bullet, they come in 300 and 350grs now..I tried the powerbelts and didn't like them and then switched to the FPB,and its super accurate and loads very easy..Great blood trails to follow with it also..

I shoot a 45cal Knight. 240gr hornady sst with 100gr of powder. This ml shoots like a rifle. Its the most accurate muzzleloader I've ever seen or shot. "Black betty" cant wait to eat on the Nov 6th.

my knight(s) throw powerbelts all over the countryside....both shoot Hornady sst and/or T/C shockwaves extremely well. also shoot Barnes pretty good but they are very hard to load.
