I am looking to upgrade my 20 year old blaze 3/4 vest this year. Any experience with some of these? I lean towards the Cabelas Ultimate Vest ll in western horizon camo.

It seems to me that the product missing on the market is a quality blaze camo "turkey vest" with a drop seat, but what do I know.

Also, the best time to buy these vests are during winter sales if they have your size.

I had wanted the Cabelas Ultimate guide vest for the longest. Caught them on sale last year for $52 and had a 20.00 gift card. BEST best ever. Lots of room for gear and extra clothes. I used it exclusively on the Catoosa Hunt last year. Did not even carry a day pack. Best investment in clothing I have e er bought.

I've also got several basic Fleese reversible vest that are nice and warm and pack easily. Great for layering. I wear LOTS of orange head to toe on Public hunts.

I've got the LL Bean model and its very nice with ton's of storage room for all of the toys we take. No need for a backpack.

I use the $4 blaze mesh vests. I just have the preference of having nothing in any pockets on me above the waist. My pants have leg slash pockets I keep stuff in and everything else is in the pack or fanny pack.
