Anyone ever fish Beech Creek near Rogersville? I was think about going over there this weekend was wondering if it was worth my time???

I have fished it many times over the years. I always put in at the bridge on Beech Creek and went out into the river for smallmouths. I have also caught many bluegill in Beech Creek itself with a fly rod. You can also catch a lot of crappie in Beech Creek.

You should have a target rich environment . The water was up in the parking lot due to the generating Sunday and they were shoaling WAY back in the reeds. They are thick as thieves in Cherokee right now in the river and big ones to boot.

Thats what I like to hear. Any size to the ones at BC?

Never have caught any big ones yet, but they're supposively in there. Good numbers though, and can be real good on a frog at times.

By the way, you need to come back up and fish the Barr with me. It's no longer the Dead Sea anymore.....
