Beaver Problem - Need options

I am having a beaver problem on my land. They had damed up a creek that is the main source of drainage and they bore a hole through the dam of my pond. What are my options to eliminate them? I know nothing about trapping and was wondering can I shoot them even at night if I see them in my creek or pond? The repair to my dam will be hundreds of dollars and I am being told that if I repair the dam and the beavers are still around, they will just do it again.

Give your local officer a call and see what they tell you about your options. You can get in touch with them by going through your regional office.

I suspect they will tell you that trapping is going to be the best option. If you don't have the equipment or expertise to do the trapping, they may know some folks that will do it for a fee.
