I have been to Canada a couple of times. In my opinion, Saskatchwan is the best place to go. We hunted near Meadow Lake and between 6 of us we had seen 54 the first two days. We saw black, brown and blonde color phases. Be patient and wait for a big one. They are there.
I am going to give it a shot next year. I am wanting to start trying something different but don't have the money to travel that far every year so I will exploit my states resources first.

most Canada hunts will now run you at least 3500, and that's really on the low end. Air fare is also very high. not to mention if you need a rental car to drive on into camp. Arkansas is a close option, lots of bears, big bodies. Decent cost.
