Its recommended to kill your meat chickens at 6-8 weeks for best flavor and tenderness. These are laying breed roosters that got a pass until they thought it would be cute to spur us. Probably 8 months to a year old. TOUGH !!
That squirrel recipe sounds good. Want to get out and do some tree rat hunting this fall if the weather cools off early.
