The smaller ones I left on the bone and the bigger one I filleted. If I kill some full grown pigeons I might skin the whole thing and eat the legs too. The ones on the bone tasted better but all 3 birds were tender and tasty after cooking about 20 mins on low heat with a cover on the skillet to keep the moisture in. I mixed in the BBQ ingredients and let the bird simmer in it for 15 mins.

We have those Eurasian collared doves around our subdivision that sound like cats being choked to death when they call.

I've tried to set up on them several times, but they never want to land in the back yard...always on a light pole out on the street. They're in between a mourning dove and a pigeon as far as size goes. One of these days I'll find out whether they are any good to eat :)
