I agree with jacks. I love jim and ncks smoked chicken. jacks is better, but you have to go downtown, which I hate.

Not now. Three locations.

There is a new place called martins on Belmont across from Christ the King school. I haven't tried it yet but it smells great ;). It is sposed to be good.

I like Jim/Nicks more than Jacks. And Jacks does have a new location on Charlotte (near downtown) about 3 blocks off the interstate. Neither one is cheap. I do like Martins and Edley's is just a few blocks over (both in the Belmont/12th South area). Of those, I think Edley's has the best sides.

I can tear up the brisket sliders from Jim/Nicks.

The Jack's on Charlotte is pretty good.

Jim-n-Nick's is so-so.

I'll have to try Cantrell's.

Edley's has two locations. On is in the 12th South neighborhood. It's just off Wedgewood on 12th (away from town). The other one is on Main St just across the river from downtown (my preferred location).

I did forget to mention B&C Caviar. I think they have two locations, but I always go to the one at farmers market.

If the line is too long to get ox tail at Jamaicaway, I'll grab some que from B&C.

1. Jack's on charlotte
2. Edley's...I've only ate at the one near Belmont

Jim and nick's is alright. I wouldn't say it's the best but it is certainly edible. I think it is owned by Ruby Tuesday's if I'm not mistaken. They did have one in Knoxville too but it closed down. There were better places in Knoxville to get BBQ.

I haven't tried peg leg's yet but it's on my list to try

Been to Peg Leg a couple times and it's pretty good. My 8 yr old can tear up the dry ribs.

I don't care much for Jim n nicks BBQ. I really disliked the ribs the one time I tried them. Some of their sides are really good and they have some pretty good hot links. My favorite thing there is a pimento cheese sandwich that I get them to add bacon. Very good. I like to eat there, just not the
BBQ.

Well I tried Jim and nicks. It was ok. I liked the smoked chicken. Did have some good sides though. All and all was ok. Next week when I'm back down here gonna try jacks.

You may be set on BBQ, but we probably have the best hot chicken in the world in Nashville and I usually recommend out of towners give it a shot. There are about 10 hot chicken joints in Nashville. I can tell you where to try, I usually go somewhere about once a week and get it. Ill chose hot chicken over BBQ 9 times out of 10.

I have taken a liking to Moe's in Brentwood/Franklin. It is a small size place in a strip mall in the Cool Springs area. The ribs, barbeque, and smoked chicken are all good there. If you go, make sure you get some of their cornbread.

Hot chicken!!

Pepperfire on Gallatin Pike

Princes' on Broadmoor

Hattie B's near Vandy

I used to really like Cantrell's but it has changed hands several times. I also liked Mary's on Jefferson but have not been back in a while. We normally do Jack's on Trinity lane.

Funny thing is for a few years I used I guy that I met through my paralegal. Only name he would give was "Dude". You had to order in advance and he delivered on Fridays. That was it. If you want ribs over the weekend, you ordered and got them on Friday. He delivered wrapped in aluminum foil and in a cooler. Always at the same parking lot.

None of its "cheap" any more.

How is Hog Heaven? I have passed by it several times but never was in the mood for bbq. Located behind McDonalds next to Centennial Park. Across from Holiday Inn on West End close to 27th.

Hog Heaven is good. Nothing special, but you can grab your lunch and chill out by the park. I like the turkey on a onion roll.
