Can anyone confirm or dissent that the XPB 225 gr 45 colt is essentially the expander MZ in 225?

I have read this from chuck hawks and am working towards a low recoil muzzy for my son as he matures.

I just don't want the bullet to not perform. I'd rather him wait on hunting with a muzzleloader if that's the case.

Ive shot a boat load of them but i shoot them mostly in a smokeless NULA. Even if you blow all the petals off they still retain right at 200gr. They are one of the favorite bullets among guys that own the NULA M209. They will work just fine at smoker speeds. Same bullet is also offered in a 200gr as well as a 44cal but i much prefer the 45cal version.

You will never look back.

Accurate. Near 100% weight retention. Excellent penetration.

As long as your gun likes them, you will love it.

I shoot the 195's out of my 45. perform great and I have killed deer out to 260 yards.
