I thought they would lose 4 games before the season, I did not think DeBour would have his players ready. Unfortunately I don't think they will lose another game until the playoffs.
Very likely to lose again.... poor defense has been exposed.

On one hand the schedule is tough. On the other hand, I won't be surprised if they run the table. On the third hand, we already know the committee will forsake all credibility to put them in.
The real question is when are you eliminated from consideration? 2 losses? I think with the 12 team playoff the committee absolutely would put in a 2 loss Gump team.

I haven't looked at the rest of their schedule but would say they'll rebound and make the playoffs.

The Allstate playoff predictor still has Bama with a solid (70%) shot at making it. I wouldn't bet against them. ....but you can certainly hope.
Two of the three between Bama, GA, and TN will be there imo.
Ole Miss will probably be the 4th team. TX is a lock.
What is crazy is that LSU and A&M could absolutely play their way in. The next month will be a wild ride.

Ole miss or LSU chances will go way down after this this week as they play each other, and the loser will have 2 losses.
Ohio st or Oregon will take a L this week, but it will just be loss #1 to a good team.
Crazy ND who has an easy path, who doesn't even have to play in a championship game with a horrible home loss already still has almost a 50% chance.
If UT doesn't beat UF at home they are done as far as playoff hopes.

Then they better beat Ole miss at home, because loss #1 to USC doesn't look good now.
Before the season started I had them pegged for 4 big fing LLLL…. but as crazy as the nil transfer portal crap has been, I don't know honestly now . They may be hell bent on killing teams now after they yugo the bed last week

I have not seen enough good in Alabama's defense. A big chunk of the defensive backfield is made up of freshmen. The defensive backs have been beaten often, even when the opposing quarterback has missed on the pass. The defensive line has not been very stout either. I'm holding back on judging the new defensive scheme and defensive coordinator; almost half-way through the season so there may be a little more improvement for this season.
The 5 highest ranked conference champions get in automatically. This leaves the rest of the teams vying for 7 spots.
This could create a situation in which the loser of the SEC championship game gets knocked out of the playoff and another SEC team gets in that otherwise would not. There can be several SEC teams that don't make the SEC Championship game that are ranked right up there with one or both of the teams that get in the game.

Bama is NOT a good team much less a playoff team. I can't wait for them to drag their sorry selves into NEYLAND next Saturday.IF the gumps pulls this one out. This has to hurt their resume of getting in. Oh yeah…. Mildroe is no heisman candidate.

If they don't lose another one before the sec championship game they will be in it most likely and lose that. It would be just like them to get left out of the sec champ game somehow and watch the other one loss sec team lose and bama sneak in the playoffs though

What did ALABAMA season so far have to do with us coming to Pilot stadium?. We just beat SC . Wanna compare records .? bacon bits. . ? Sam pitman was on the hot seat before he beat the breaks off the vols. Now he can rest comfortably for another season.
