Will the worts come off later in its life? Is it something that is genetic and should be taken out of the herd?

I was wondering the same thing. I have had pictures of deer with these in the past. One young buck had one that was a redish color that looked like a chunk of meat about the same size as these on the inside of his leg. But it was in August so it wasn't a shot wound. Maybe BSK will let us know.

When I was a kid dad had killed a few deer that was covered in warts. I remember one that had them all over his neck.
