Im packed as well, sorta. Gear is in bins.
Baby stroller is ready in case we kill a small deer and coolers are empty and ready for deer and lion meat.

Just checked weather and in the low country around the nearest town they are calling for lows in the 20's. Here is to hoping the creepy crawlers are froze and the deer are moving.

7,200 calories worth of lunch. Bacon, almond butter, honey, Hawaiian bread, + all the bacon fat poured over the top.

Made it to the desert. Beautiful yet mean country; dry, hot, vast and everything here literally bites, stings and pricks you.

Sunny and 80 today, headed to the Mountains tomorrow evening and temps will start to fall, likely down into the teens by next week. Should have the deer moving well.

Somebody suggested a small, fine tooth comb for getting the pricklies out of our clothes -might need to grab one somewhere along the way.

We should be able to find a cheap comb after our taco dinner.


The only chance of rain right now is Fri night/Sat morn. I will run my plan by you tomorrow after you land and we start headed out.

Got the full security shakedown while checking a firearm. The round of Gouda cheese in my boot was the main culprit, but the bacon/PB sandwiches were of concern too. They had to call in the TSA supervisor and a couple of lackeys to clear it. They unpacked my entire carefully packed bag, so I'm even more unorganized now.
