The IGA on hwy 79 near Paris Landing sells it for around $6 lb. I bought some to try. It really doesn't have much in the way of flavor. Its real easy to overseason. Probably make great school lunch fish sticks.

$150 million is the retail value if it were all sold in grocery stores. The fishermen have to get paid as do the processors and the grocery stores. I imagine only a small percentage is going to grocery stores. The majority is probably exported. The US used to ship around 30 million pounds to China every year. I don't know what it is now. There is a company in ky that exports to 11 countries.
