Was at the taxidermist the other day when I spotted a fish laying on the table in the back. I instantly recognized it but didn't believe it was what I was seeing since it was laying on a taxidermists table. Yep I was correct he said a guy caught it (silver carp) in the pond at the marina in Clarksville and wanted it mounted. 🤷🏼 It was about a 3 lber.

after this summer fishing off a platform a couple of times, i can see how they can get hooked in the mouth. we saw a couple that had their dorsal out of the water moving fast. we thought they were blue cats gulping shad like we had seen a week before. these jokers swam about 70 yards to us in just a few seconds. i tried to net them but theyd see me move before i could get close with a net and bolt away. we sat there and watched them for maybe 15 minutes. they were skimming the top of the water with their mouths wide open swimming like nobodies business. im still amazed at how fast these things can swim.
