me and my buddy have gotten drawn for the oct 31 hunt and nov 14 hunt. Neither of us know anything about it any info would be great!

Somebody may pm a better suggestion, but don't get your hopes up. Using last years map, I'd suggest scouting off of Hwy 95. Lots of deer use that ridge by the guard station and many cross the highway frequently. Or go a bit further in and look around Reeves Rd.

Take full advantage of scout day. Wear a pair of good boots and cover as much ground as you can. With two of you scouting, you can split up and cover twice the ground.

IMO, Oak Ridge is a multi-year hunt. The more time and hunts you can spend at it, the better your chances will get to be.

It's a bonus buck, so you can quit belly-aching about the limit.

2 buck limit is straight B.S.! Once again I've killed a great buck already this year with a bow, well now when rut kicks in and if j shoot one with a muzzleloader then guess I'm done for the year!

I'm on that hunt too. I spent 5 hours today walking through thickets up and down hollars and ridges. Good luck to you. I saw several good areas with plenty of sign

I found fresh rubs and scrapes in three spots aND a huge broken shed that I hated to leave behind but rules are rules. I'm waiting in line now. Tons of acorns in two spots I marked on the map.

Sounds like rain around me so many acorns dropping but with 4 people within 100 or so yards not getting my hopes up .. if its brown its down today
I have no one near me so I'm happy with that

5 does and 2 bucks have come by already. First buck spotted me as he came up the ridge. Come on big boy.

Had a good morning but had to leave for inventory at work. I'll be back this evening and in the morning for another shot at that stud I saw and tomorrow the does are fair game too.

Also looking for any good info. Hunted a couple years in tower shielding but it gets more and more crowded every year
