AR question?

Thinking of getting one for yote hunting, Anyone know if they make a light weight carbon fiber barreled ultralight gun?

they do,,but my Rem R15 with 18 inch bbl is pretty dang light,,wih a 5 or 10 round mag I dont see why you would need anything lighter or handier,,it shoots as good as most bolt actions also.

I been thinking about trading it for an 1885 Win High Wall

None of the ARs are 'too' light. Maybe some specialty models can be fairly light. I agree with Mr. Big-the R15 with 18" barrel is about perfect for a coyote rifle or wildcats or deer with the right bullets. PH

Nobody to my knowledge does a carbon-wrapped barrel for an AR. There are some very light guns out there though, Bushmaster does several guns with their carbon-polymer receivers that are in the 5-6 pound range. I have an AR that weighs less than 5 pounds, but I built it, and it was way too much work!
