After posting up some pics of my rifle(Remy R-15), I got a few suggestions from members for higher mounts. One member suggested the Burris AR-P.E.P.R. mount.

I really like the 1peice and it looks solid. The price is right. I can get it for $70+shipping through SWFA. I think I gonna pull the trigger on this one, but before I do I wanted to check with yall and see what you think. Do any of yall have this mount? Would any of you recomend anything different for around the same price? One more question have any of yall ordered from SWFA are they decent to work with?

one thing you need to consider with the one piece rings like that is that sometimes they wont fit the optics you may choose. i am talkin about length wise. some of your shorter optics want set in these rings because the tubes are to short.

I have not used the mount but I have ordered from SWFA a few times. Always had great service with no problems. I've heard they have great customer service if you ever have a problem but I have never had to use it.

Good thought I'll be putting a Loopy VxII 3-9X40 on it. I'll have to look into the dimensions.

Thanks

I have 2 of them, a 1" and a 30mm. They are awesome and are the perfect height for your BUIS if your scope goes down. I bought both from SWFA and had them in 4 days.

A friend of mine put one on his DPMS AR10. Works well, holds zero and allows good eye relief (I shot the rifle) but he said it's made in China. Don't know if that matters to you.

I tightened the outer screws first, then tightened down the middle. Seems to hold well and didn't leave ring marks when I switched out scopes.

I have a couple of these that I have used on several different rifles. They are made by J&T in Kentucky. I get them at the Nashville fairgrounds gun show for $50 OTD.
