one of the cabela's tactical scopes?
i know there prolly made by either simmons or bushnell but i'm just gonna use it for playing around with a .243 heavy barrel gun i have . i know save the money for a nikon or a leupy but i'm wanting to play around with this rifle to close to santa coming to spend much on it

I had a Cabelas Pine Ridge 2-7 scope that I put on my first muzzle loader. It was dead on at 100 yards and I thought I had a good scope. Opening weekend of ML season about 4 years ago, I missed a very nice buck at about 35 yards. I later killed a doe that day at about the same range and barely hit her in the spine while holding for a behind the shoulder shot. After that day my next range trip proved what I thought was wrong. 1st shot was about a foot high, the next shot was about a foot low. I havent used it since. I have heard good things about the Cabelas Alaskan Guide series scopes, but the price is much higher for those.
