I may have an opportunity to hunt 400 ac near Palmersville on Harrison Rd. I know there are a lot of deer killed in Weakley County. I was just curious if anyone had any thoughts on this area. I have ever been there, it is a 5 .5 hr drive for me. Thanks

Ive hunted there for 20 years. Lots of deer in the area. Dont know exactly where Harrison rd is but I would bet its good hunting.

I hunt real close to Palmersville. Im about 2 miles from the Tn/Ky line. My property is in Ky. Really good deer in the Palmersville area.

It would be worth your drive....I have hunted with childood friends since the 80's on their farm not far from Harrison Rd....you're also close to Yoder Brother's processing, which makes the best summer sausage you can eat, in my opinion....

Agreed about Yoders! I grew up and hunt about 15-20 min from there. The hunting is great in the area.

I looked at a map of the Harrison Rd area. There seems to be one area that may be rather rough looking land - not really field, and not really woods. Just junky looking. Of course, the satellite photo could be old. It may be worth confirming what the land is like before you drive 5.5 hours.

Lots and I mean LOTS of deer in the area.
Hunted it for 25 years before a POS poacher / tresspasser and the new crooked law ignoring landowner screwed it all up and we lost the farm.

I really miss that place.

Good luck !

Summer Sausage sounds great. The 400 acres are about 60/40 hardwoods to agriculture fields. Should be heading over the second week of October, going to stop by the Fort and get my permit then head over and hunt a day or two. If its as good as I hope it is, I think my dad, age 72, may come down from West Va and do a little muzzleloader hunting for a few days.
