Ive hunted that part of the mountain a fair amount in years past, some good bucks for those who do their homework. As I understand the Hogs are getting thicker by the day and have really hurt the deer hunting in a lot of that big area up there, sadly!!
I've hunted it heavily for almost twenty seasons. There are decent deer densities and there are some very big bucks upon occasion. The terrain is tough and rugged. The hogs are hurting the deer. Over the last 8-10 years the hog population has risen steadily until they have become a serious competitor for the deer.
