Anyone hunt around Timms Ford Lake?

State park or TVA either one. I've been hunting Cheatham WMA so far, and stuck a little 6 pt. last weekend, but I'd like to have a few different options considering kids and schedules etc.

We have a lake house down there so I wanted to start poking around and find a few areas. It looks like they put in quite a few food plots. I assume it doesn't get as much pressure as Cheatham, but I could be way off there. Thanks in advance.

Its pressured pretty hard. The best way to hunt it is from a boat to get to some of the secluded areas with no road access.

Yeah it gets hunted pretty hard. Like he said from a boat is your best chance.

Be sure to check the regs of the specific area where you are wanting to hunt. I believe there is an area or two that has some restrictions specifically because of people trying to hunt/shoot from boats. I want to say it's Owl Hollow WMA and the portion around the Devils Step area.... maybe a weapon restriction or something. May have even been an area that was closed to big game hunting during rifle season.... Been a while since I was told whatever it was and I honestly can't remember for sure.

My cousin uses boat and he has pretty good success lol just put something in your boat to keep from staining the carpet.
