I made a switch last year from Gold Tips to Easton's Full Metal Jacket arrows. I was a big fan at first, but now not so sure. I experienced my first drawback today when i noticed an arrow I had been using for target practice was bent... and not just a little bit. I can't believe I didn't notice before. I did some reading tonight, and apparently it's a common thing. I have about 20 of these things, and who knows how many are bent. Guess I know what I"ll be doing after work tomorrow.. checking every single one.

That is one of the things that has always held me back on trying those out. I recall from my introduction to archery when I was a kid that aluminum shafts bend, especially if you are not diligent in pulling them out of targets very carefully. Hate to hear it.

Check your carbons also. They will bend and stay bent also.
I guess I'm learning here. I never checked them. Was always under the impression carbons didn't bend. I know one thing.. the FMJ wasnt just a little bent. You could look down the shaft without spinning it and tell it was bent.
