Been wearing them out on Weiss and Brushy Branch. When they are not pulling water hard the Coosa is pretty good too! Water is WAAAYYYY down so only way to get into Brushy is with a small boat.

Was catching 2 limits three days in a row on the haiwassee trolling before the flood and before work forced me away. Havent gotten to go but my old man caught limits sat, and bout has his limit right now. Im gona hit it with him tomm. We usually take a weekend and fish weiss and the guides have always said the 3rd week in feb to the 2nd week in march is usally their best time. We usually fish straight out from Jr's marina.

Great, Thanks I'm gonna plan a long weekend and go down. If you have any good ideals on where to stay I'd appreciate that info also. Probably gonna bring the wifey so need a nice place to stay. :)

Weiss Lake Lodge is cheap and easy if you dont need to stay on the lake. Its really easier that way on weiss IMHO,yellow creek this time of year is good as well as the fingers on the right towards the dam.

Yup. Hope the wifey isnt expecting a 5star hotel cause their short of em around there. I love fishing that lake tho.

Congrats on fish caught. Wifes not too picky, just as long as its clean with no creepy crawlies she'll be fine. plan on going down the weekend of the 23rd. Hope thier hitting. Around east Tn. fish are not normally at 6-10 until the water hits mid 50's/60's. Thats about last of march early april on Douglas. Looking forward to the trip, tired of long lining and catching one once in a while when trolling. I did see a bunch of boats piled up around Louisville point on loudon yesterday. Hope they were on catching a few. Any reports?

Just keep an eye on generation schedules. The water was up this weekend afer all the rain and the fish were on the move. I caught several good crappie but also caught a bunch of bass on the crappie jigs I was using. I generally fish the river though so the lake may be a little better on the current than the river was.
