Anybody trout fish the HI around reliance?

I can be seen up there most every weekend starting in march till august, and I have never seen this many people fishing this river at one time as now. I just packed up and went home after fishing 1 hole today at 7:15 am. covered up. Anybody else notice this?

It was free fishing day today. You don't have to have a license to fish.

Well that explains it. I was wondering where the barrage of people came form all of a sudden. lol

Fished there many a times.. I love it there.

Started fishing the river back in the 60's when I worked at the powerhouse up river from Reliance about 10 miles I think. Caught rainbows up to 5-6 lbs on a regular basis. We had a few holes we baited every day with corn. Man those were the days.

I've spent many hours on hi. I just wish the quality of fishing was a little better.

I was there this Saturday. Did OK in the morning with bead head pheasant tails. After they kicked 2 generators on, I did real good with small caddis flies. Threw them on the smoker yesterday and ate them with fresh tomatos.
