Seriously.... Anybody seen one of the famed $30,000 blinds yet?
Well, to be fair I hope whoever got the deal has capable equipment…If that's the contractors tractor the deal paid enough to buy a $120,000 tractor. Not bad.
I agree. Waders and a John boat full of metal would be a bad look at this point.Well, to be fair I hope whoever got the deal has capable equipment…
They are definitely not going to replace A4 at Tigrett with a blind like this. Not unless they start with 4-6ft pices in small boats.Im picturing them pulling up to some ramps with a couple big pontoons and outboards while they stand there and scratch their heads..
Like they are gonna do what they say, or say what they are gonna do.Also no floaters were mentioned in the original plan. All were supposed to be permanent built structures.
With all those dock floats, I would say this was much more expensive.Wonder how much cheaper these are to build compared to what they said they were gonna do
Now Keith, is that nice? lolI'm curious to see how truthfully they update the blind replacement project status at the Wildlife Commission meeting Thursday and Friday.

And these blind numbers represent what exactly???
This sheet is the blinds that are being replaced this year and the time fame they plan to work on them and have them completed. And these blind numbers represent what exactly???
Supposed to be 5 Tier 2 blinds on Reelfoot. Blind numbers 8,15,36,55,60.I'm confused as well, since my understanding was there were to be no Tier II's at Reelfoot this coming season. So it doesn't make sense as a replacement schedule.

there is a heavy penalty for the company to Fail to have the blinds In place on timeI talked with someone from TWRA this afternoon that should be "in the know" on this. He told me the rumor that the contract had to be redone isn't true. As far as he knew, everything is still on schedule. I guess we will see in the coming weeks.
From my understanding it's not costing "the state" anything, TWRA is pulling the funds from a federal wetlands grant. A grant that was meant to improve wetlands to help waterfowl. This rodeo doesn't do anything to improve wetlands habitat for waterfowl. I don't see how their allowed to use the funds for this but hey we all know the gov't does what they want most days.…And at the total cost that it's going to end up costing the State they could've bought and/or managed existing State property to "increase opportunity". We are talking a very large figure.
