Anybody got a greenhouse?

Did you make your hoops out of pipe? Schedule 40 pipe or is that a metal kit?

Cant quit make out the pipe frame in the pic.

And is your plastic that 20 mil "special greenhouse stuff" or the 6 mil visqueen type from home depot? I checked on the heavy stuff and it's durable and all, but pricey.

Go with the film that's designed for greenhouses. The cheap stuff at Depot/Lowe's is not designed for continuous UV exposure and will be splitting by Halloween.

The piping is metal, i bought a used gh from a friend. The plastic is the better grade of plactic made for gh.i have about 2000 invested in my gh. That includes everything but the plants and hydroponic setup. And that wasnt expensive.

This is my hydroponic setup, on the left. The setup on the right is called the dr. Kratky method. Its very similar to hydroponic. Both are very easy to build and use.

I haven't messed with a green house in years. We built one in ag my senior year and grew plants and flowers and sold them. If I had the time, I wouldn't mind messing with one again.

I had a dozer come in last year and clear a spot next to my gh so we can put another gh. We really like useing the gh.

I used 50"x 16' hog fence for the "hoops"... Set some timbers 8' apart and bow it in between...taller the side walls the higher it is...I used 2 2x10's treated.

Fence is 20 bucks at local feed store...

What do you cover it with? I like that idea for the frame.
