Just wondering if we will be able to put in at the front parking lot and get under the trestle in a boat tomorrow morning .
Was gonna run down there this afternoon but I'm not gonna have time.

I'd say probably not. But That's just a guess I haven't been down there to see

I will say yes to putting in in the front lot between the signs. I have a 1648 with a 40 horse. I can put in there at 30-32. 33 and up i put in by the bridge. At 30 and falling i am driving in with no snorkel. If i had a snorkel i would drive in till 33 just to give people something to talk about. Hide or take out any valuables in your truck. Some knucklehead got stupid and smashed some windows a couple of weeks ago.

I heard they were taken into custody this morning after a pursuit that started in Dyer and ended in Lauderdale County.

That's awesome news !!!!
By chance any idea what type of vehicle they were driving?

Reason I ask yesterday my son had to leave early and as we rounded the corner a white Tahoe or something like it came under the trestle then flipped a u when they saw us.

He looks like he got exactly what he had coming to him

I disagree, I think he should be hog tied and left in a locked room for 30 minutes with every person he broke into their vehicle.
Plus 5 more that were broken in to that he is not linked to.
Plus 5 more that are just mad that he did it.
Plus 5 more that were broken into that they can't tie him to.
Plus 5 more just for the heck of it.
Then give me just 2 minutes with him.

On New Channel 3 tonight.

Deputies conducted a sting operation early this morning with some Deputies posing as possible Duck hunters which resulted in the arrest of a Crockett County man, Robert Tims that is suspected to be one of several individuals responsible for many thefts from vehicles of Duck Hunters not only in Dyer county but several other surrounding counties. The operation consisted of 11 officers, myself along with 10 Deputies and investigators began a early morning operation with some Deputies in unmarked trucks patrolling or sitting at area boat ramps this morning. At 5:58 am., a Deputy observed a 4 door gray sedan which had been developed as a suspect vehicle driving reckless on Slaughter Pen which is within a few minutes from the Parker Ditch Road boat ramp that has been prone to thefts from hunters vehicles over the past few weeks. Deputies stopped the suspect vehicle at the intersection of East Court and Tennyson. The vehicle was occupied by driver w/m, Robert Tims of Murray City, TN and a w/f passenger Christina Hogeland of Ripley, TN. Hogeland gave deputies a false social security number of a person which had been deceased for 3 years, Deputies then obtained her identification and a NCIC check revealed that she along with driver Robert Tims were wanted by Lauderdale County for Violation of probation. Hogeland began to resist arrest and then was taken into custody and charged with false report and resisting arrest. The driver Tims in the drivers seat then immediately tried to run down the officers attempting to remove him from the vehicle and fled the scene in the 2000 model grey Chevy impala. A deputy then attempted to stop the vehicle again with the Tims refusing to stop. The vehicle continue traveling down 51 south at speeds of 70 mph. The vehicle traveled into Lauderdale County accelerating to a speed of 100 mph in an attempt to evade the Deputy. The suspect vehicle then experienced a flat tire and decreased its speed to 65 mph. The suspect vehicle then crossed the roadway proceeding south in the northbound lane of traffic, a deputy then observed on coming vehicles near the Halls exit and then made the decision to remove the vehicle from the roadway by conducting a pit maneuver on the fleeing vehicle placing the vehicle in the ditch with minor damage to the patrol unit. Tims immediately fled on foot and was arrested by deputies after a short foot pursuit. Tim's was charged with Evading Arrest, Resisting Arrest, Reckless Endangerment, and Aggravated Assault. Reportedly, Tims didn't have a recent permanent address and had been sleeping in his car the past 30 days, this individual did not have any notable stolen property in his possession at the time of arrest, deputies are still searching locations for property taken from the recent thefts.
We ask that our citizens continue to be vigilant as we continue to look for other individuals that maybe committing similar crimes.
If anyone has information about these individuals or any of these thefts, they are encouraged to call the Dyer County Sheriff's Office at 731-285-2802 or Crime Stoppers at 731-285- 8477.

Three other unrelated persons arrested this morning by officers patrolling areas of this operation are, Charles Thompson, 6107 Hwy 77, Churchton, Tn for Possession of 1.5 grams of suspected methamphetamine and .8 grams of suspected heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia during a traffic for window tent violation on Beaver Road, Crystal Wempren, 10166 Hwy 412, Friendship,Tn charged for Possession of 1 gram of suspected methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia during a traffic at the intersection of Hwy 412 and Slaughter Pen road during a traffic stop for expired license plates, Christian Moore of 1837 Countryman was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear as officers patrolling wildlife areas north of Trimble responded to a accidental 911 call on Coleman Street.
I appreciate the hard work of the officers that volunteered to participate in this operation.

I think that SOB attempted to rob me. I went to unlock my truck toolbox and someone had attempted to pick the lock and in the process broke his pic off in the lock. We park just before the bridge on Hwy 210 and the R/R track on the Dyer/Lauderdale county line less than three miles from Halls where that SOB lives. Now I have to find a locksmith to see if he can get the pic out. :bash:
