Ants

Does anyone else have problems with ants getting in their cameras? Any tricks to keep them out? Went and checked my cameras and one was filled with them. You could even see them crawling on the inside of the display! I had this happen last year too.

What kind of camera? There should be no way whatsoever for ants to get in a camera.

It's a cheap moultrie. I am going to see if I can seal it up tighter

We have lock boxes on our cameras we spray WD-40 inside the lock box only it keeps all wasp & ants out

I have lost cams to ants.... Last year I kept them out by spraying raid ant killer on and around the unit, multiple times through the summer.

Their bodies are acidic and will cause the electronics to fail...........happens to a/c units all the time .

Sprinkle fire ant or any ant barriers killer around the cams as you put them out if it is persistent............will wipe them out for a while.
