Was checking the Hunters Toolbox and it shows 2 antlerless males killed on the velvet hunt. How is this possible?
For sure, to be legal, but most hunters can't see the difference between 2.5" and 3.25" at 50 yards. My explanation above could have happened if the hunter misjudged a spike then checked it in as it really was, rather than being deceitful and lying on the check in progress, My bet is a mistake at check-in time. 2 mistakes out of 500 deer is pretty good record for TN hunters.I'm pretty sure it has to be longer than 3 inches thats the purpose of the hunt to kill a velvet buck
I'd say that's about right.2 mistakes out of 500 deer is pretty good record for TN hunters.
Yeah for sureI'd say that's about right.
