Another scrape question

Sometimes, a younger buck will sneak in and poop or urinate in a dominate buck scrape. Having scrapes tells you there are deer there but I'm thinking the dominant buck only visits these scrapes at night...younger, subordinate bucks may slip in during daylight hours...I'd rather have a nice rub or better yet a rub line...both, however, only tell you that you have bucks in the area

I didn't even mean to find the scrapes, was walking out from hunting and saw them along with a few small rubs. I didn't try to find any big rubs, just put out the cam and left.

I got a good'n on cam in there in August. I saw that deer in bow season standing close to where the scrapes are. I also saw the little spike that I had pics with the big buck yesterday.

Maybe with a lot of luck I'll kill him.. or atleast see him.

Entirely possible..especially since you saw him...try to set up on where he is coming or going from the scrape rather than the scrape itself

I sat there today and seen 8. One forkhorn, spike, 4 doe and 2 idk's. Jumped four on the way in.

Got a pic of a decent deer walking in the holler below the scrape and the little baby spike using the scrape, he is the confirmed pooper (only deer that visited it and there is fresh poo in it)

Maybe I'll get lucky and get a good'n in there. I think the one I have a pic of is the 8 point I let walk in bow season. No where near big enough to be the one I'm after.
