Do turkeys generally stick to one roosting area from Fall through Winter & into Spring?
The property I deer hunt has a great turkey population & I'm going to try my hand at them for the first time this year.
All of last fall & winter, they roosted in the exact same patch of hardwoods, literally the whole of muzzleloader & rifle season. Every time I sat 1 particular stand I saw them fly up. Literally, every single time.
Is it naive of me to expect them to still be roosting there during breeding season? That's where I was planning to check on Saturday evening.
Also, do they tend to follow the same kinda travel patterns throughout the day? There are certain spots that I could almost set my watch by them passing me, but that was November- December.
