I should be pissed but I'm ok with how it turned out.
Long story short.
A while back the touch pad went out in my Ranger. I called around and couldn't find the parts and was told by CandO marine that they would take a month to get them. I had 3 out of town fishing trips scheduled so I didn't have time to wait 30 days so I bought a new boat. Fast forward to last Friday I called and ordered the parts since I now have time to wait. On Tuesday morning they called to tell me the parts were in. 4 days including Sunday is a far cry from 30 days out. I told them this morning when I picked the parts up that they cost me a lot of money by being wrong or just not caring enough to find out for sure.
I'm happy with the new boat but wouldn't have it if they would have told me the parts would be in in 4 days.

What kind of boat did you get?

You bought a new boat over a $200 part?
$1,400.00 part but it wasn't the money it was the 30 day wait. A new key pad is $200 but the new key pad wouldn't work because they have updated them so the brain on my boat wouldn't recognize it so the new "part" is both key pads and the brain along with some wiring to adapt it.
I looked all over for a used one with no luck either. Ranger changed the key pads a few different times so just any keypad wouldn't work. The numbers had to match the brain box and I never found one that did.

How much for the Ranger?
'O7 Ranger z20 with a '21 mercury 250 2** hr 4 stroke. 15" HB solix and a 9" HB helix at the console 9" helix and a Garmin 126 at the bow. 36 volt Ultrex trolling motor. $35,000.00. I don't have it listed anywhere yet. I have not installed the new keypads yet. I'm the 2nd owner of the boat.

And I thought I was doing good. Had a small gas leak I could have fixed, but wife told me next time I had the boat in for maintenance I could get a new depth finder. So, to the shop the boat went and 1250bucks later small gas leak is fixed. ;)
