I have several great areas on my 1400 acre lease to plant food plots. One of my favorites is a 5 acre field surrounded by woods on all sides. Problem is that I share the property with cattle.
Is there any type of fencing that can be utilized to keep out the cows but that the deer would easily jump to access the plot? A fellow lease member planted a plot on the property with about 2 acres of turnips and put up a two wire electric fence. It is keeping the cows out but I'm afraid it is also keeping out the deer. He hasn't hunted it yet so we don't really know.
Is there any type of food source that could be planted that the cows may avoid that the deer would find palatable?
