I decided to try a spot on a WMA today - a spot I had neither hunted nor scouted.

I made all kinds of noise getting back on the place. I figured I wouldn't see a thing. I finally picked a tree and climbed. As soon as I got up there and started to pull my bow, I heard something.

A doe was less than 20 yards from me. She hung out for over 20 minutes, circling my tree. I literally spit right on her nose (I spit a dozen times before I ever hit her). She wouldn't leave.

She finally wondered off about 50 yards and I saw some turkeys coming. I figured they'd scare her off. Nope. She walked right up and sniffed them. She browsed with them for another 5 min.

I was finally able to pull up my bow. Hoping a turkey makes its way over here!

You need the Thirdhandarchery bow holder. Your bow climbs up with you. Assuming you're in a climber. Good luck the rest of the evening

A testament that deer are animals, not robots. Although they share common behaviors they aren't 100% predictable cause they are all slightly unique.

I had a small spike whose mother had just reject it latch onto me and follow me to the stand a couple years back. He laid under my tree til dark then wandered off.
