A friend has 2300 acres in allen county in different pieces that he says he leases out to hunters.Is Allen County a decent deer area? Im looking for larger deer.

I'm sure there are some much more knowledgeable people on here than me, but my brother and I just lost our lease in Allen County. We only had it for one year but my brother did kill a 132 inch 8 with a bow off of it. Some of the locals said there were some pockets within the county that held much larger deer. I would gladly look at more land in that county.

Yes, Allen county has some good deer hunting. Certain parts of the county have a good mix of forest and farmland. And yes, the county does have the potential to grow some very large bucks.

Allen Co is a lil east of the really prime west KY co's known for consistently producing some of the biggest bucks in the state, but definitely has some good hunting of its own.

Allen County should be fine. I was born and raised in Cumberland County, Ky. When I still lived there several good bucks came from Allen and surrounding Counties.
