Hey guys anybody have any experience with Alaska Moose and Caribou hunts, maybe even a combo hunt? Im thinking of taking my oldest Son, 14, on a hunt and wanted to check on these. I dont know a thing about Alaska as ive never hunted there and dont even know the age regulations as of yet. Anybody have any experience there, especially with these hunts?

Are you wanting to go DIY or hiring a guide? Float hunt or drop off and hunt the hills? You can check the AOD forums for some help or Onyourownadventures.com
There is alot of info to be had there.

UPS, Im thinking more along the lines of a guided hunt, being I would like to take my 14 yr old Son with me. If I was going with another capable adult or two i would gladly try a DIY hunt as i much prefer this. Thanks for the URL I will check it out.

Gotcha, and can't say I blame you. Check outdoorsdirectory.com. That is the AOD forums...some good info but some knuckleheads also. Contact sticknstring, he is doing a float hunt for moose this fall. I doubt he will make it back :)

Man glad to know you are pulling for me. Leave for a few weeks and people start betting against you.

Winchester - I left you a PM

Winchester, listen to upsman. Sticknstring is soft as tissue. His wife has already offered me his truck, she isn't expecting him back either.

:D :D :D Stick...I think you need some new friends.

Good luck Scott.

Chad, Daniel is a trash talking knucklehead. He's good for lunch a few times a year though. Ha!
