Looks like same deer and I think 2 1/2

Looking at the way his neck and chest meet, he looks to be 3.5.

Exactly.
And why having many good pics, many different angles, and ideally near the peak rut,
provides more opportunity for accuracy in field aging.

Not knowing the date of that bottom pic, I would ignore it.

So my guess is 3 1/2 (or older).
And, based on that single top pic dated 10-13-2017,
cannot rule out 4 1/2.
